The Camino is marked by carved stones bearing the iconic scallop shell, by rocks, fences and walls painted with yellow arrows, and by other signposts. Cairns are everywhere, bearing witness to pilgrims’ intentions, prayers, and remembrances. The Camino means “The Way.”
